Senior Accountant

Glenwood, Inc., a progressive multi-site agency provides a full range of services for children and adults with autism and other mental health needs is seeking a Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to make a difference in the quality of life of the people we serve and their families. This position reports to the Director of Business Services.

Work Schedule: Full-time, Day, Monday-Friday, 8:30a-4:30p (with some flexibility).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ensure the timely submission and payment reconciliation of Waiver, Medicaid Ch 110 and Ch 33 billing. Investigate and resolve denials.
• Prepare CTF grant quarterly reporting and budgeting
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and journal entries
• Perform accounting of reporting of special projects (HUD homes)
• Manage contracts and related billing
• Perform accounting for the Child Nutrition Program
• Create and maintain productivity reports for various departments
• Implement of accounting technology projects
• Identify and implement process improvement

COMPETENCIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, and accounting software.
• Ability to effectively communicate with staff, and individuals.

Qualifications

LICENSURE & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or related field, preferred.
• At least five years of related experience required.
