WHO YOU ARE

You are a seasoned HR Director with 7 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, including high-growth start-up experience. You bring a deep understanding of Human Resources practices and can execute across talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, total rewards, engagement, employee relations, compliance, and employee communications. You balance strategic thinking with the ability to execute HR initiatives and projects. You don't mind getting your hands dirty when you need to, in fact, you thrive on those opportunities! You're a person who knows how to set people priorities and engage leaders and teams in them. You are a highly collaborative and communicative team member, able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and partners across the organization, Board members, and Founders.

As an HR partner, you know when and where to dive in and add value to the business. You are a natural at providing focused leadership, guidance, and vision to the Founders, the leadership team, and the organization that aligns the people strategy with company goals and directs the successful implementation of people priorities necessary to drive our performance and growth.

WHAT YOU DO

  • Partner with leadership to ensure HR aligns with business goals and identify new opportunities to add value. Work closely with the CEO, CCO (Founders), and Leadership team to deliver expertise and guidance, ensuring two-way communication on key priorities, engagement and overall employee satisfaction.
  • Further develop and execute a comprehensive people strategy aligned with Gimme’s overall business goals that drives engagement and builds a highly credible organization that delivers outstanding results.
  • Cultivate a Strong Employment Brand through Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Develop and implement the Gimme Employment Brand strategy to source, attract, recruit, hire and onboard top talent. This includes building a strong employer brand presence, developing innovative and effective sourcing strategies, fostering a positive candidate experience and ensuring a smooth onboarding and transition into the company.
  • Champion and Foster Gimme's unique culture by promoting collaboration, engagement, and employee well-being, especially within a hybrid work environment through various initiatives and programs. This might include facilitating collaboration across teams, partnering with teams for their team-building experiences, and promoting employee recognition consistent with Gimme strategy, values, and purpose.
  • Drive Employee Learning by designing and implementing skills-based development programs to foster employee growth aligned with company needs. This includes identifying skills gaps, providing learning opportunities, and ensuring employees receive the right development at the right time.
  • Enhance the Performance Management Process by establishing annual KPIs communication and assisting the leadership team in providing employees with development opportunities and growth plans. Lead performance management activities, including goal setting, performance reviews, and quarterly coaching. Implement strategies to recognize and reward top performers, fostering a culture of high-performance.
  • Provide Total Rewards Market Updates on compensation and benefits to remain competitive within the industry and ensure transparent fair pay practices.
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing and coaching the team through employee relations issues with fairness, candor, and empathy, while ensuring adherence with legal requirements.
  • Lead with Data by driving people operations reporting and developing key people metrics to inform strategic decision-making. Utilize expertise to identify and proactively troubleshoot HR issues, providing transparent solutions. Recommend and implement modern people technology solutions, including the development of a company SharePoint for HR communications and other modern people solutions. Maintain up-to-date employee records.
  • Act as a liaison between the company and external partners including PEO (ADP Totalsource), recruiting agencies as needed, HR Advisors, Counsel, and other HR-related third parties.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Creative problem solving to develop new and improved people process workflows, optimizing existing programs and recommending improvements aligned with Gimme strategy and culture.
  • Compliance expertise to ensure adherence to legal and government labor regulations. Maintain proper and timely Employee Handbook updates and communication – including any new policies or procedures.
  • Integrity & Ethical Leadership through sound judgment, trustworthiness, and strong ethics that serves as a role model for others.
  • The ability to quickly build trusting relationships through superior organizational, written, and verbal communication skills. You communicate with confidence and hold confidences by speaking with candor, and delivering messages with empathy and accountability.
  • Experience in coaching and proactive issue resolution, utilizing strong influence skills to navigate sensitive situations, anticipate challenges, identify issues swiftly and transparently, and deliver effective solutions.
  • Bias for action in an autonomous environment, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities to deliver projects on time and accurately in a condensed work-week.
  • A consulting mindset to identify new opportunities for HR to add value to the business and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams on special projects.
  • Is calm and productive, dealing comfortably with uncertainty and change. Deals constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions.

YOUR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (Masters degree a plus) and/or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Organization Development, IO Psychology, or a related field is required.
  • 7 years progressive experience in Human Resources with a broad understanding of end-to-end human resources.
  • Food and beverage industry experience a plus.
  • Experience working in large and small privately held companies.
  • Has held various roles across human resources disciplines (e.g., attract, develop, reward, engagement, compliance, etc.) with a strong expertise in full-lifecycle Talent Acquisition and fostering positive employee relations.
  • SPHR certification is a plus (not required).

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This full-time role will receive a competitive salary benefits, including medical, dental, vision, 401k, and equity. The anticipated annual pay range is $140,000-$180,000, plus bonus and equity. A variety of factors are considered when determining an individual's compensation, including a candidate’s professional background, education, certifications, experience, professional licenses, and location.
