Salary:$50,000-$57,000commensuratewithexperience

Location:1800 Century Place NE, Atlanta, Georgia 30345 Travel: Overnight travel is required to carry out the monitoring duties detailed below. Five to eight weeks per year or up to 25% of time on the job is allocated to traveling.

TheTechnicalCollegeSystemofGeorgia(TCSG)isseekinghighlyqualifiedapplicantsfortheirfull-time Program Specialist position in the Office of Workforce Development. The position is open to all applicants that meet the minimum qualifications.

 

OVERVIEW:

The Programs Specialist is responsible for evaluating policy and program design and providing guidance to local grant recipients to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations.

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

·Develop a comprehensive understanding of relevant workforce grants.

·Providetechnicalassistance,programmaticguidance,andtrainingongrantadministrationtolocalprogramadministratorsandstakeholders.

·Monitorlocalprogramsforcompliancewithfederal,state,andlocallawsandregulations.

·Identifyareasofnon-complianceandworkwithlocalprogramstafftodevelopcorrectiveactionplans;Draft, edit,and presentpolicydocuments,researchreports,andplanningdocuments.

·Plan,support,andcoordinatemeetingsand conferencestosupporttrainingeffortsandprogrammaticinitiatives.

·Support localandstatestaffneedsthroughresearch,written,and oralcommunication.

Collaboratewithotherstate agenciesand stakeholderstoadvocateonbehalfofassigned initiativesand programmaticsubject matter.

·Other dutiesas assigned.

 

 

 

 

 

MINIMUMQUALIFICATIONS

·ABaccalaureatedegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversityor,three(3)yearsofrelatedworkexperience.

 

PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS

·Graduate degree in course of study related to the occupational field, Knowledge of the Workforce

·Innovation and Opportunity Act

·Demonstrated experience with policy analysis and producing written deliverables, Experience with

·public speaking and/or leading training seminars; and Experience with project/program management
