ABOUT Inspiredu

Inspiredu’s mission is to help underserved youth develop the skills needed for education and career success through technology-based learning tools and engagement activities with their families, communities, and schools. Inspiredu fills a unique void, as we are the state's only nonprofit organization focusing specifically on opportunities to use technology as a part of a child’s learning support system while also addressing the challenges of digital literacy, access, and inclusion in Atlanta. We are especially committed to students from low-income communities, students with learning differences, and English Language Learners. Since 2007, Inspiredu has served over 44 schools and 25,000 students, teachers, and parents.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Program Training Associate supports Inspiredu’s program and operations. This includes working with the Program Coordinator in the preparation, planning, and implementation of high-quality programming. The Program Training Associate will work closely with program and technical support staff and report directly to the Manager of Programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Training Administration Support

  • In partnership with the Program Coordinator, organize and maintain the logistics of Inspiredu’s programs including preparation of materials, set-up, and day of coordination.
  • Conduct outreach and organize outreach teams to maximize attendance, participation, and impact.
  • Distribute and manage data collection instruments, both digital and print, at program events including contracts, agreements, surveys, etc.
  • Collect and maintain accurate records of events.
  • Input workshop data in a timely fashion; provide data and compile reports as requested.
  • Assist with program development and conduct training as needed.
  • Serve as a secondary information resource at Inspiredu’s office and warehouse and providing general assistance to staff, supporters, partners, families, and volunteers.
  • Make outbound service calls to resolve customers' problems and inquires, including tech support and educational support information.
  • Provide clerical support to Program Manager such as organizing files, enter data into Salesforce or other programs and other duties as assigned.

Training Delivery

  • Becoming well-versed in all Inspiredu workshop curriculum
  • Providing an engaging presentation of Inspiredu's curriculum
  • Following Inspiredu’s curriculum and workshop pacing guide
  • Maintaining control and flow of the workshop classroom
  • Utilizing volunteers when available as teaching assistants through active engagement to support and assist participants throughout the workshop
  • Creating a safe, inviting and motivating classroom or virtual learning environment
  • Assist with set-up of classrooms at partner organizations on workshop days, including preparing classrooms with the appropriate number of desks and chairs, running electrical cables, setting up laptops and peripherals, etc.
  • Provide minor troubleshooting with non-computer equipment in the classrooms
  • Assist with the breakdown of classrooms (including moving desks and chairs) and packing away equipment at the completion of a Workshop
  • Assist with the security and safety of Inspiredu’s computer equipment at the Family Learning Workshops
  • Representing Inspiredu in a professional manner at all times
  • Working with Inspiredu staff to co-develop and continuously improve the curriculum
  • Refrain from promoting personal businesses or affiliations with partner organizations and funders during Inspiredu workshops and events
  • Ensuring that workshop outcomes are met and all learner data is collected
  • Attending periodic training sessions in person or remotely

CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Passion for Inspiredu’s mission and ability to maintain the highest levels of customer care while demonstrating a friendly and cooperative attitude.
  • 2 years or more experience training, teaching, facilitating experience in both in-person and virtual settings.
  • One year experience supporting or implementing community programs.
  • Ability to clearly communicate technical information about computer and software use to a nontechnical audience.
  • Experience work with K-12 students or with Adult Learners
  • Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills and high levels of confidence and energy as a public speaker/presenter
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with minimal oversight
  • Capacity to thrive under pressure while working on multiple tasks and projects.
  • Ability to travel and reliable transportation to and from work and to Inspiredu’s Workshops, Programs and Events throughout Georgia.
  • Availability on Saturdays and weeknights
  • Able to lift a minimum of 30 lbs.

Preferred:

  • Bilingual
  • Experience working with underserved communities.
  • Experience using Salesforce or other CRM.
  • Experience using online and mobile applications for collaboration such as Zoom, Teams, Trello, etc..
  • Strong relationship or “people” skills
  • Strong problem-solving flexible skills
  • Proficiency in basic computer functions, including computer setup, MS Office applications, and the Internet.

Compensation will be competitive and commensurate with experience.
