Key Duties: Compile and reconcile measurement and volume data utilized in accruals, journal entries, monthly settlement and invoicing for the offshore pipeline transportation operating segment.Complete month-end close activities for assigned areas of responsibility, including the preparation of journal entries and the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts. Analyze general ledger accounts and monthly financial results for accuracy.Create allocation statements and customer invoices for monthly settlement.Prepare ad hoc financial analyses as questions arise. Comply with internal control requirements and assist internal and external auditors with their requests. Gain understanding of the relevant software systems utilized by this role. Troubleshoot potential issues that arise as a part of carrying out month-end close processes with IT personnel.Collaborate with other members of the Accounting group, as well as personnel in the Commercial, Operations, and Measurement groups.Communicate effectively and efficiently with customers and other external parties.Prepare any relevant and required regulatory filings. Assist with other duties and projects as needed. Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting.Entry level to three years of experience.Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel. Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.Detail-oriented, analytical, and conscientious.Proactive in analyzing issues and solving problems.
