Responsibilities:
Job Summary:

The Director of Human Resources is responsible for developing effective policies, procedures, guidelines and support. Responsible for employee onboarding process, required administrative tasks and paperwork, oversees compensation, such as PTO, health insurance and other benefits. Leads and/or directs effective training/development. Keeps records regarding expenses, purchases and summary of business transactions, maintain employee’s records, maintain pertinent business information on file, assist with training and developing team members including recruiting, hiring, firing, and incentives.


Essential Job Functions (including but not limited to,):
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Assisting management with the staffing process with recruiting new employees by posting jobs on recruiting sites and sending applicants resumes to hiring managers.
  • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting onboarding, orientation and training programs and provide detailed information, and schedule deadlines for benefit applications.
  • Maintain the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions and compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Assist in identifying new positions and creating job descriptions as well as edit existing job descriptions.
  • Design, improve, create, and update existing company policies as needed.
  • Update employee handbook yearly and develop understanding of all policies in the Employee Handbook
  • Conduct yearly Orientation including policy changes, updates, new procedures, and programs.
  • Manage time clock, troubleshoot when needed, and approve time cards
  • Manage and maintain employee PTO, wellness day, and bevereament.
  • Dispensation of payroll following determined schedule5
  • Maintain and update employee records and process terminated employees
  • Maintain benefits programs
  • Maintain HR systems and processes.
  • Use existing HR programs such as UKG to streamline payroll and employee benefits administration.
  • Manage and maintain health care benefits during Yearly Open Enrollment and provide open enrollment training
  • Assist employees in understanding available benefits and oversee benefits and compensations for employees.
  • Create employee engagement activities monthly
  • Monitor and disburse rewards and incentives programs including pay bumps/raises, bonuses, and incentive programs.
  • Create daily newsletter to keep employees updated on pertinent information
  • Investigate employee issues and conflicts and brings them to resolution. Resolve internal conflicts among employees and conduct disciplinary actions as needed
  • Retain historical human resource records by a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Work with other departments to develop improvement plans
  • Maintain company organizations charts and employee directory.Assist in setting rules for promotion
  • Manage invoice receipt and send for payment
  • Supporting and Training of Best Practices to all employees.
  • Support Health and Wellness of employees
  • Create a culture of openness and growth
  • Work well with HR staff
  • Maintain a filing system for all records.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications (knowledge, skills, certifications, education,etc.)
  • Bachlor’s Degree in Human Resource, or equivalent
  • Experience in Human Resources or related field
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of Human Resource Management, benefits administration, prerformance management, communication processes.
  • Knowledge of hiring and employeement law, compensation and wage structure, and communication processes.
  • Understanding of Federal law/Labor Laws as it applies to employment
  • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
  • Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Have experience and knowledge of 401K, Life insurance policy processes, Health insurance, FMLA
  • Proficient in technical knowledge as well as in Microsoft Applications, Excel, and PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience using computers in a variety of tasks.
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lead trainings, give presentations, educating and coaching employees & staff.
  • Must be Ethical and capable of maintaining confidentiality. Trustworthy, reliable, and honest
  • Must exhibit integrity and experience in following and maintaining workplace privacy
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues.
  • Experience in conflict resolutions, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
  • Knowledge of relevant health and safety laws.
  • Must have a willingness to learn and grow in this field
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Knowledge of laws against harassment including sexual harassment, supporting diversity

  • Degree in Human Resources or similar field
  • Willing to work hours necessary to complete tasks

Physical Demands:

Physically able to complete tasks assigned or expected which may include standing, sitting, walking, and lifting.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manage up to 100 employee records, files, updates, onboarding, trainings, benefit programs, payroll, and policies.


Work Environment:

Be able to work in office setting and transisiton to group activities in various locations
