Position Objective: Provide services as a Clinical Research Associate in support of the overall functions of the Translational Vascular Medicine Branch for the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The role functions within a team of clinical providers and clinical support staff (Staff Clinicians, Nurse Practitioners, Data Managers, Protocol Coordinators and Patient Care Coordinators as well as other NIH Clinical Center staff) to ensure the coordination, implementation, and execution of NHLBI clinical trials.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to assemble, organize, and analyze de-identified clinical research data collected with a variety of clinical research equipment.
• Contribute to the development of case report forms.
• Advise in the development of forms for a study-specific database.
• Participate in the identification and reporting of research trends.

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing with at least 2 years’ work experience in a clinical research setting.

• Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with non-technical and technical staff
• Detail-oriented and possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects
• Strong critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills.
• Resilient personality with a high level of social skills to deal effectively and persuasively at all levels of an organization.
• Ability to multitask and manage time in a dynamic work environment.
