POSITION SUMMARY

Gameday is excited to welcome a Medical Assistant to work in our new Jacksonville, FL clinic. Medical assistants will have both front office and clinical responsibilities: on the clinical side, conducting blood draws, administering injections and assisting in operating our onsite laboratory. On the front office side you’ll be greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering general patient inquiries, as well as documenting patient vitals, test results and treatments into our EMR.

In order to perform clinical duties, the candidate must possess a valid Medical Assistant Certification. We will consider exceptional candidates who are in the process of obtaining medical assistant certification. Candidates must be free of malpractice claims (current and pending).

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The Medical Assistant will be responsible for:

• Phlebotomy (blood draws) of patients
• Injections (Testosterone, Gonadorelin, B12 and other vitamins)
• Checking patient vitals and recording in EMR
• Ensuring all lab results are input into patient charts
• Assisting medical providers with patient care
• Greeting patients
• Assisting in lab operations
• Maintaining accurate records in EMR and adhering to all HIPAA Protocols.
• Scheduling appointments

COMPETENCIES

• Certified Medical Assistant (preferred)
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems
• Excellent organizational and time management skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
• Clinical Medical Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
• Experience with Phlebotomy and blood draw (Required)
• Proven track record in supporting medical staff committees, overseeing credentialing processes, and managing medical inventory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk or computer

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
