Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant - Summary

A Medical Assistant with Intracoastal Dermatology greets and escorts patients to and from the clinic, gathers pertinent patient health and physical information, and supports our healthcare providers in establishing and implementing an appropriate patient treatment plan by assisting the healthcare professional in a variety of ways.

Our Medical Assistants are also key team members in integrating the medical services provided with the roles and responsibilities of the reception and discharge staff. The ability to work with and to support your team will be vital to your success at Intracoastal.

Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant - Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients through the clinic to exam rooms
• Perform pertinent health and physical exams of the patient
• Confirm current patient medications and pharmacy information
• Brief healthcare providers of patient visit needs and complaints
• Maintain patient records throughout completion of a treatment program
• Ensure accuracy of all patient records, including pre and post exam
• Assist the healthcare providers with patient evaluations and treatments as directed
• Collect, label and promptly prepare for shipping, lab samples obtained from patients
• Educate patients on prevention options, procedures, recovery, cosmetic products and treatments
• Verify patient treatments are complete and escort them to discharge personnel
• Support your team members
• Clean and prepare exam rooms for incoming patients, including stocking of supplies
• Coordinate patient flow with reception and discharge
• Assist with monitoring inventory, stocking, ordering and housekeeping

Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant - Requirements

• Authorized to work for any employer in the United States
• Fluent in English
• Located in the Jacksonville/Nocatee/Ponte Vedra area
• Possess a High School diploma or GED certificate
• Willing to submit to a background check, credit report and Worker's Compensation history
• Posses a certification as a Medical Assistant.
• Dedicated employment history, excessive job history will be a disqualified to consideration.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a private practice is required, dermatology experienced is preferred. Please DO NOT indicate on your submission you have dermatology experience if your resume does not support and reflect actual dermatology experience. If you do so, your submission will be rejected without any notice.
• CPR certification.
• Electronic medical record and practice management experience, preferably with AdvancedMD and/or ModMed.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant - Rewards

• Salary commensurate with experience
• Starting wage: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
