Gabe*s is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Morgantown, WV
The Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks to support the daily operations of the accounts payable function within Gabe’s. This position will match, batch and code invoices, process expense reports, and provide administrative support to the department. This position will also maintain accounting files, communicate with vendors and clients, and file invoices for payment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process check requests and expense reports to support departmental operations.
- Review, code, and process vendor invoices and perform 3-way invoice matching with accuracy.
- Maintain vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable.
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies.
- Communicate with vendors and respond to vendor inquiries.
- Distribute invoices through company workflow.
- File processed PO/Invoices.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Demonstrated attention to detail.
- Knowledge of Microsoft office products (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work office equipment: Phones, Copier.
- Ability to effectively and professionally communicate (verbal and written).
- Ability to interface with external vendors.
- Possess math skills and the ability to perform basic arithmetic.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work autonomously.
