About The Role

G2 is looking for a bright, organized, and dependable person who is passionate about information security. The ideal candidate is excited about joining a fast spaced, industry leading company. We are looking for a self-motivated professional who will help build out G2’s information security initiatives!

Responsibilities

• Lead the vulnerability management program, coordinating regular scans, reports and creating a plan to remediate found vulnerabilities in accordance with company policy.
• Architect usage of SIEM software, ingesting all data, tuning alerts, building dashboards, etc.
• Ensure delivery of security awareness training to new hires and annual refresher training.
• Work as a senior member of the incident management and response team to identify, capture, contain, and report malware and active intrusions.
• Oversee regular privileged access reviews in accordance with policy in company SaaS applications.
• Assess the IT infrastructure and be able to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvements or additional mitigation controls.
• Responsible for the maintenance of security and operations procedure documentation.
• Develop, document and implement information security procedures to enforce information security standards.
• Research and stay up to date with current information security topics, information technology, equipment, and/or systems.

Requirements

• 5 years of information security experience
• Strong experience with SIEM & vulnerability management software
• Great interpersonal skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to think on your feet, multi-task, prioritize, and work under pressure
• Can effectively communicate complex issues to both technical and non-technical individuals
• Ability to be self-directed

What can help your application stand out:

• • Technical certifications, e.g. CISSP, CEH, are a plus
  • Experience in other technical areas (systems, networking, programming, etc)
