Who We Are & What We Do
The Fund for Advancement of Minorities through Education (FAME) is a small non-profit organization, making a large impact on the lives of students of color in the Greater Pittsburgh area. FAME was established over 30 years ago to provide need-based scholarships to bright and talented African American students, making a high-quality independent school education possible. FAME also provides its Scholars with an array of supplemental support including tutoring, internships, academic enrichment programs, leadership development, and career awareness workshops. In addition, FAME hosts a summer and Saturday preparatory program for middle school students interested in attending an independent school.

Who We’re Looking For
We are looking for an experienced educator, school administrator, or out-of-school-time program leader to join our team as the FAME Academy Program Manager. The ideal candidate will have unmatched critical thinking skills, with a proven track record of achieving goals based on the development of strategic priorities. The ideal candidate must also have a natural ability to build lasting relationships with students, families, partners, and schools.
This position will be primarily responsible for the growth and facilitation of an outstanding academic enrichment program which results in a minimum of 90% of Academy students transitioning into the FAME Scholar program. This position is also responsible for the planning and facilitation of the summer boarding program, which means you must be willing, able, and committed to traveling with our students, including overnight for multiple days at a time.
