FTS is Hiring a Help Desk Technician Near Seneca, NY

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct remote analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of hardware and software issues, adhering to established processes for escalation when necessary.
  • Configure, test, and maintain end-user PCs and associated hardware/software to meet service level targets.
  • Deploy software using remote distribution tools and handle account administration tasks for various software systems.
  • Develop technical documentation for IT processes and troubleshooting procedures to enhance organizational knowledge.
  • Utilize Incident Management systems to address incoming IT queries and service requests promptly. Manage email, messaging, and collaboration solutions, ensuring seamless connectivity and user access.
  • Oversee end-user accounts, permissions, and storage allocations in compliance with privacy, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in current systems software, protocols, and standards such as Exchange Online, Active Directory, and Windows OS.
  • Perform hands-on troubleshooting of software and hardware issues, utilizing data management methodologies.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment, sharing knowledge and expertise.
  • Handle critical outages impacting the business, documenting events and providing updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field with 1-2 years of experience OR 3-5 years of relevant industry experience, including call center or desk-side support.
  • Expertise in enterprise-level computer hardware and software systems, with proficiency in Active Directory environments.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills and experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a customer-centric approach.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic utilities and willingness to adjust schedules as needed for help desk coverage.

Job Type: Temp-to-hire

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
