Job Summary:Performs all duties related to the production of hot and cold food items for hospital patients, staff and visitors, special functions, and baking. Monitor the quality of items produced, closely working with hot and cold food production to deliver the highest standards of product to our customers daily. Follows standardized recipes and production sheets, and assures that food is produced in accordance to established sanitation and food safety standards. Maintains quality standards in cooking methods, procedures and therapeutic restrictions for all diets, presentation and portion control. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:
A minimum of 3 years food service cooking experience or culinary experience and any combination of years of food service experience. Line cook experience with hot food preparation is preferred.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.
SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:Ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions, IFUs and complete required documentation. Basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets are required. Basic computer, problem-solving and good communication skills are required.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:ServSafe certification is preferred.
