About You
FIDF is searching for a sincere, committed, and focused professional to join our Development Department as a Chapter Director in the Maryland area.

About The Role
The Chapter Director is responsible for managing a significant portfolio of donors, which includes individual, corporate, and foundation prospects. He/she will identify, research, and form a strategic solicitation plan and will maintain a personal relationship with donors to maximize their charitable and volunteer involvement. In addition, the director will provide leadership in the area of staff collaboration as well as strategic planning concerning donors.

Essential Job Duties
  • Coordinate and execute the annual fundraising plan.
  • Identify, research, cultivate, and personally solicit a portfolio of donors in Baltimore and Central/Eastern, Maryland.
  • Develop and maintain a personal relationship as an account manager to maximize and strategically plan for all development opportunities through both ongoing FIDF events and individualized approaches.
  • Identify, recruit and steward local lay leaders.
  • Research and develop prospects and cultivate and maintain relationships.
  • Coordinate chapter events, including the annual Gala Dinner, parlor meetings, community events, and potential Mission trips.
  • Work on maintaining and increasing the effectiveness of the Baltimore Chapter Board.
  • Assume other responsibilities as needed.
  • Reports to the Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • 7 - 10 years of fundraising experience.
  • Knowledge of Baltimore and Central/Eastern Maryland communities, Jewish community, culture, traditions, Jewish Communal Services, Israel, and current events.
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite of Products, Raiser’s Edge a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel locally required. Occasional international travel to Israel as well as evening and working on Sundays required
