Working within the clinical services department, the Director of Social Services provides clinical supervision for all social workers and masters level clinical therapists to ensure that social work standards for social history and discharge planning are implemented as well as ensuring the implementation of the active treatment program.
The Director will also provide clinical supervision to the bachelor’s level therapists to ensure active treatment interventions as well as recreational/diversional groups. The Director will work with the Program Directors to ensure that the active treatment is population specific. Along with these social service activities, the Director will actively participate in maintaining quality of patient care and function as a member of the unit teams, participate in Performance Improvement and educational activities. The Director will also provide support to research, development and community relations activities.

Requirements:
Master’s degree in Social Work. 3-5 years of supervisory experience within a social work department. 1-2 years’ experience in health care or mental health care setting preferred. LCSW preferred.
