The AOD : maintains oversight of all RN/LPNs/and Mental Health Technicians in order to ensure quality, integrity, and excellence of treatment delivered in a fiscally responsible manner; plans and develops program goals and directs efforts towards meeting goals; provides support, direction, and supervision of assigned nursing staff; assigns responsibilities to staff to ensure prompt response to patient needs; reviews and maintains all clinical documents and departmental logs and ensures fair distribution of patients to physicians.
The AOD will have on call responsibilities as directed, and is flexible and willing to work all shifts as requested by the Director. The AOD will also attend all meetings, trainings and workshops along with being responsible for establishing, maintaining staffing schedules for all Mental Health Technicians and Nurses. The AOD will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all departmental and hospital trainings, as well as, scheduling and facilitating preceptor training for all newly hired clinical staff. Additional duties as assigned by CRC Director, which may include assessments and review/approval of referred clinical documentation. Nights and Weekends REQUIRED

Requirements: BSN from an accredited school of nursing preferred. Five years of behavioral health experience and ASN required. 18 months in clinical, managerial and administrative experience preferred. Emergency Room nursing experience, preferred.
