Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sales and Operations Planning, the Demand Planning Analyst will analyze marketing and retention data to forecast and manage consumer and product demand. The Analyst will build models to forecast consumer behavior with our world class data science team, translating insights into real time decisions that will directly impact Freshly’s customer acquisition cost and P&L. Responsibilities: Serve as a key stakeholder by providing forecasts and supply plans to our internal purchasing and operations departments as well as third party supply partners. Work with Marketing to understand acquisition and retention insights that optimize marketing efforts and efficiently acquire new customers. Produce SKU level demand plans by region adjusting for market conditions and actual weekly performance. Determine initial launch quantities for new items introduced to the market. Implement capacity management strategies to manage consumer demand across multiple facilities. Collaborate with Data Science and Engineering teams to develop retention forecast and demand capacity models. Forecast performance reporting and analysis of key metrics to cross-functional teams. Address demand-related issues effectively and in a timely manner. Operate the proprietary demand planning tools Recommend process improvements by leveraging a thorough understanding of demand trends and supply constraints. Perform root cause analysis through exception reporting to drive greater efficiencies and results in the demand forecasting process. Qualifications: A proven track record of using data to influence business or product decisions and/or putting data into action. Bachelor’s degree in Business Admin, Marketing, Finance, or Supply Chain Management. 2 years of experience in Consulting, Business Operations, Finance, or Supply Chain Advanced proficiency in Excel, especially Google Sheets (including creating Pivot Tables/formulas/Gantts). SQL or other query languages a plus, but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment - skilled at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects and activities. Ability to analyze and create an accurate understanding of forecasting performance using optimized modeling techniques.
