Brompton is Hiring a Data Systems and Planning Analyst Near New York, NY

The role:

The role of Data, Systems and Planning requires a highly meticulous, organized, analytical and commercially rounded planner and implementer, to take immediate ownership of business and systems analysis, and sales planning and project management for the North America region.

Reporting directly to the President of the region, this role carries a significant degree of authority, autonomy and organisation, as you become responsible for the analysis and interpretation of our data, improvement of our systems and processes, as well as the delivery of key projects and planning of our inventory according to our demand and supply. Your work requires tight, cross functional collaboration with the Sales and operations department and Purchasing departments, with close collaboration with Supply Planning, Production Planning, IT and Digital. Being capable of building and maintaining effective and trusting relationships is therefore paramount in this pivotal position.

While we are implementing stronger foundations regionally, you will need to be able to evolve with our new systems, by integrating current tools and processes within the wider digital and data infrastructure environment. Therefore, problem solving and continuous improvement shall be key feature of your role in order to create scalable and sustainable processes and ensure data quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Systems, Data Analysis & Project Implementation

  • Design and execute the vision, strategy, and tactics for our BBI systems, processes data and reporting structure in collaboration with central digital, data and IT team
  • A power user of our systems, responsible for the system processes and development for our cross functional dashboards, order processing and administration, data analytics, building KPI frameworks, operational governance and ensuring data accuracy.
  • Provide administrative and strategic solutions to many different departments within the business, including Retail, Sales and Operations.
  • Lead Operations team through setting up proper order management functions and processes that make the business more efficient.
  • Responsible for onboarding and training for dropship vendors
  • Build and manage operational processes, govern through reporting, and support process automation.
  • Navigate ambiguity and deliver actionable insights that enable data driven decision making and delivery of regional strategy
  • Use data to prioritize and identify the biggest areas of opportunity to drive business efficiency.
  • Own and manage the project roadmap for the region for the delivery of new systems implementation and regional priorities, embedding best practice project management methodologies
  • Contributing to continuous improvement of systems and processes.

Forecasting & Planning

  • Support sales leads, sales ops, store and account managers in preparing their forecasts
  • Secure Monthly statistical and collaborative review of bike and parts and accessories forecast for the region, by channel and within an agreed product catalogue
  • Support development the annual regional sales budget with President, finance and sales leads in-line with Company objectives, supporting channels in obtaining required volumes to achieve budget.
  • Develop Monthly forecast accuracy measurement of bikes and P&A and work with data, customers, sales team and Supply chain to improve forecast accuracy ensuring optimum inventory levels are maintained
  • Ensure new products forecast are introduced with all relevant information and gather collaborative forecast
  • Actively participate in S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) process steps 1 to 3 (Demand creation, Demand review and Supply review) to ensure supply is in line with demand.

Others

  • Participate in sales operations meetings, gathering feedback regarding global demand and feeding it through relevant departments.
  • Preparing a variety of status reports in PowerBi, Excel and Word

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Degree in Business, Digital, Data or Supply Chain with forecasting/analytics track
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel and analytical skills, SQL queries
  • 3-5 years’ working experience in project management, process improvement, analytics and operations activities
  • Experience working with different inventory management and ERP systems
  • Knowledge of data, systems, supply chain models, forecasting, S&OP, capacity planning.
  • Power BI and CIN7 experience would be advantageous
  • Another language is a plus e.g. Spanish/French
