CENTER FOR URBAN COMMUNITY SVC is Hiring a Sr. Planning and Evaluation Analyst 1 S Near New York, NY

Description
The Senior Planning and Evaluation Analyst helps to ensure the effectiveness of CUCS / Janian's service programs to benefit people struggling with homelessness, poverty, and/or disabilities. This position calls for a systems-level thinker who is interested in program and administrative analysis and data systems in a large mission-driven organization. It requires a detail-oriented capacity for data collection, cleaning, and analysis, and the ability to critically assess data and provide recommendations to improve service delivery, administrative procedures, and staff performance. The position requires superior interpersonal skills to collaborate with staff and senior management on strategic initiatives. This position reports to the Director for Planning and Evaluation and does not have supervisory responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
  • Identifying and using existing organizational data for performance management, strategic planning, organizational decision-making and monitoring. Includes creation of custom reports, dashboards, and operational and financial models of actual or contemplated agency activities.
  • Manage planning, coordination, and administration of annual agency-wide feedback surveys for CUCS and Janian clients, staff and program directors.
  • Ensure that evaluation activities are in line with best practices for equity and accountability in program evaluation.
  • Collaborate with program, managerial and technical staff to design new mechanisms for data collection and reporting based on best practices.
  • Carry out program evaluation activities and present the results of those evaluations in a form suitable for use in program re-design, performance management, and quality improvement activities.
  • Utilizing Agency's systems to gather, analyze, and present relevant data visualizations
  • Conduct policy analysis, literature reviews, and identification of evidence-based and evidence-informed program and organizational practices to inform program design, organizational decision making and strategic planning processes.
  • Support fulfillment of funder and agency reporting
Requirements
•Bachelor's Degree required
•Master of Public Administration, Public Health, Social Work or related degree preferred
•4 or more years of experience in human service settings, program evaluation, and/or performance improvement with Bachelor's
•2 or more years of experience in human service settings, program evaluation, and/or performance improvement with Master's
•Proven experience collaborating and managing projects with multiple stakeholders.
•Demonstrated strong interpersonal, presentation, writing and verbal communication skills.
•Demonstrated analytical skills, including applied statistics and data visualization.
•Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with peers in a team-oriented environment.
•Ability to work independently and be self-directed and self-motivated.
•Detailed-orientated.
•Demonstrated abilities using Excel and/or comparable software's.
•Ability to work under pressure and to adapt quickly in a changing environment
