Job Description
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Import Account Representative is responsible for supporting Import Key Accounts functions. This role serves as the first point of contact between Fracht and its customers; responsible for communication and delivering daily updates to meet customer needs. Ensure customer satisfaction, work efficiently, professionally, and maximize profits by minimizing potential for error and upselling other services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate and oversee the importation process, ensuring the timely and cost-effective transportation of goods.
- Liaise with customs officials, freight forwarders, and other relevant parties to facilitate the smooth flow of imports.
- Manage documentation, including customs paperwork, shipping manifests, and other required import documentation.
- Monitor and track shipments to ensure they comply with import regulations and arrive at their destination on schedule.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement and warehouse staff, to streamline the import logistics process.
- Resolve any issues or delays that may arise during the importation process.
- Handles accounting processes including price negotiations, on-time billing, zero demurrage mindset, rate calculations, price conversions, profit and loss analysis.
EDUCATION AND/OR WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Successful completion of high school, or equivalent, plus additional job-related coursework or specialized training.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Products and Cargo Wise software(s) programs or similar.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in air import operations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Safely and successfully performs the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
- Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
- Must be able to sit for prolonged period of time in office environment, desk setting
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
