The Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale is in search of a dynamic leader to join our Rooms Operations. The Front Office Manager directs the activities of the Front Desk, Guest Services, KFAS (kids club) and Concierge Departments to create a welcoming experience.
You will have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills, good problem solving ability and be proficient in Hotel property management systems, in particular Opera. You will be fluent in reading, writing and spoken English language skills. Strong supervisory and managerial skills are essential, with outstanding demonstrated coaching and development skills.
The person we seek will be College degree qualified in Hospitality Management, and have a minimum of five years hotel Rooms Division experience rooms, including at least three years in an Assistant Department Head position. Experience with Forbes Travel Guide standards preferred. Ability to work weekends and holidays with flexible work schedule.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
· Manages the staff at the Front Office team
· Interviews, trains and schedules the staff and conducts Performance Evaluations and disciplines staff when needed
· Coordinates arrivals, departures and billing requirements
· Blocks rooms for arrivals and ensures any discrepancies are resolved
· Reviews daily arrivals to ensure proper handling of Special Attention Guests, Return Guests, and Groups
· Assures that all financial and credit procedures are followed
· Communicate with the Director of Revenue/CORE Manager on room availability and selling strategy to maximize occupancy, revenue and rate
· Takes action in all matters related to the safety, security, satisfaction and well-being of hotel guests and employees when senior managers are not available
· Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services
