Position: Regional Pick Up and Delivery Manager

Location: Columbus, OH, Chicago, IL, Dallas, TX

Job Description:

Forward Air is looking for a capable and dedicated individual to work as a Regional Pick Up and Delivery Manager. The qualified candidate will support multiple markets in local PUD operations, including training, development, performance review, and process standardization. The candidate will be able to articulate clear market specific recommendations to align with our goal of a high value, time definite, single source solution for all local cartage operations.

Core Responsibilities & Duties:

• Responsible for the Safety, Service and Financial Management of the Complete product for all assigned PUD locations
• Ability to train, review, and improve performance measurements for multiple locations
• Ability to build relationships at all levels from Driver to Dispatcher to RVP
• Ability to influence non-direct reports to standardize the process
• While relocation is not required, the ideal candidate would be located in his/her assigned regions
• Travel required (25% or less based on needs)
• Other duties as assigned

Skills:

•  Ideal candidate will possess a “can do" attitude with a “will do" work ethic
•  Core dispatch knowledge.
•  High level computer literacy for reporting.
•  Must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment
•  Experience with AS400 operating systems is a plus
•  Transportation industry knowledge and experience is a plus
•  Prior dispatch/load planning experience is a plus
