Forum Real Estate Group is Hiring a Part-Time Legal Assistant Near Denver, CO

FLSA Classification: Non-exempt

Posting Duration: This posting will be up through March, 2024 unless it is extended to find the right candidate.

Position Summary:

Forum Investment Group LLC ("Forum") is comprised primarily of Forum Real Estate Group, LLC ("FREG") and Forum Capital Advisors LLC ("FCA") and is a leader in multi-family real estate. Forum is seeking an Administrative Assistant or Paralegal Student with an interest in securities law, real estate, and corporate law to support the legal departments of both FREG and FCA. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the FCA General Counsel & Chief Compliance Officer with maintaining the compliance program (monitoring/tracking various projects, employee certifications, updating policies and procedures, supporting policy trainings, etc.)
  • Logging and maintaining records and filings related to regulated portions of Forum's business.
  • Assist with maintaining corporate books for all company entities including domestic and foreign filings, annual renewals, membership assignments, written consents, amendments and 1031 exchanges.
  • Monitor/track status of state and federal registrations and/or exemptions.
  • Assist with corporate records maintenance to include ongoing corporate operations, including directors and officers resolutions, and amendments of incorporation.
  • Assist with creating and maintaining an internal document management system.
  • Supporting certain aspects and stages of fund formation and fund transactions (including real estate transactions).
  • Additional duties as needed and assigned

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Word, PowerPoint, Excel
