Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Specialist will execute, maintain, and collaborate on a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, while working closely with other team members.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Performs data entry of vendor invoices.
• Responsible for maintaining the filing system for all accounts payable related documents.
• Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end activities in the AP environment.
• Investigate discrepancies that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills.
• Charging expenses to appropriate accounts and cost centers.
• Responds to vendor and employee inquiries regarding invoices, expenses, and check requests.
• Assists with reconciling account transactions with the general ledger and bank statement reconciliations.
• Keeping up to date with regulatory requirements and best practices in accounting.
• Assist the department with answering any accounts payable questions and vendor issues as needed.
• Other job duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• 3 plus years of experience in accounting or accounts payable
• SAP experience
• Microsoft Suite
• Imaging software experience a plus

Physical Requirements & Work Setting:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
