Floss Dental PC is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Staten Island, NY

Dental Assistant needed for Tuesday and Fridays in Staten Island office starting in March. 2 years dental assistant experience preferred. But willing to train for the right candidate

Dental Assistant

Duties:

- Assist the dentist during dental procedures

- Prepare treatment rooms and instruments for dental procedures

- Take and develop dental x-rays

- Perform patient assessments and record medical history

- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures

- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions

- Maintain a clean and sterile environment in the dental office

- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient records using Eaglesoft software

- Perform dental receptionist duties as needed

Qualifications:

- Certified Dental Assistant (CAD) preferred

- Proficient in patient assessment and medical imaging techniques

- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus

- Familiarity with Eaglesoft software for scheduling and managing patient records

- Knowledge of aseptic technique and infection control protocols

- Strong understanding of dental anatomy and terminology

- Familiarity with medical coding for insurance billing is a plus
