We are looking for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our talented Maintenance team in Evansville! This position will ensure production uptime and protect company assets through performing maintenance and moderately complex repairs on machines and equipment.

Here's What You'll Do:

• Repair basic to moderately complex mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and/or electrical repairs to equipment and machinery.
• Perform preventive maintenance to equipment and machinery as outlined in work order.
• Perform basic to moderately complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, including but not limited to equipment, forklifts, pallet jacks, aerial and platform lifts, gear boxes, and voltage checks.
• Install basic to moderately complex mechanical equipment, electrical work, and building installations.
• Perform basic to moderately complex electrical fabrication and building small to large structures, stands, or other items designated by Foreman.
• Perform facility maintenance such as basic plumbing, HVAC, and electrical.
• Analyze and diagnose motors and equipment.
• Determine if repairs can be completed in the field or if equipment should to be sent to the shop for repair.
• Disassemble basic to moderately complex electromechanical equipment noting parts identification, configuration, and condition. Disassembly of more complex equipment with limited to no assistance.
• During disassembly, properly mark parts, and take photos, as needed per work order.
• Repair, install, and/or remove basic to moderately complex motors and equipment. Assist in the repair, installation, and/or removal of complex equipment.
• Testing
  • Perform basic test of electromechanical equipment and document accordingly. Troubleshoot known or suspected problems.
  • Operate Megger, DC Hypot, Amp Meters, and Feeler Gauges as needed on jobs.
  • Connect leads and test run on proper voltage.
  • Be aware of any abnormalities in test run (head, rubbing, noise, etc.).
  • Retest reassembled electromechanical equipment for proper output and operation.
  • Read and draw diagrams of motors and parts.
• Clean & Inspect
  • Clean electromechanical equipment assemblies as needed using various methods and steps including but not limited to parts washers/steamers, caustic tanks, and glass beaders.
  • Thoroughly inspect parts for wear and damage and record any worn or damaged parts.
• Operate various equipment including but not limited to aerial and platform lifts; forklifts, pallet trucks, and boom trucks; overhead cranes, jibs, and gantries; dial indicators, dial calipers and micrometers; pipe threaders, taps, dies; hydraulic and pneumatic tools and equipment; power tools and benders; hydraulic jacks, rams, machinery skates, chain falls, and snatch blocks; rigging equipment including foundry hooks, wire rope slings, clevises, shackles, eye bolts, synthetic straps, and slings; various types of hand tools; welders, torches, compressors, and generators; CO monitors, Mutlimeters (vom), megohmeters, AC/DC amp clamps, high pots, and surge testers; hydrometers; thermography imaging, installation of electrical control components and other tools and equipment as needed.
• Measure for and note proper replacement parts.
• Requisition needed items as approved by Coordinator.
• Store parts accurately.
• Lift, tighten, adjust, and/or secure heavy objects in order to perform work duties.
• Maintain thorough paperwork throughout entire repair process. Record accurately and on a timely basis.
