Position: Medical Assistant in Ortho or Spine

Type: Full-time, 40 hours

Schedule: 40 hours per week 

Pay: $18.50 - $21.50 / hr depending on experience

Responsibilities include:

· Prep room for provider and patient

· Patient intake and rooming – keeping up with high volume and efficiency

· Obtain height, weight, vitals, medical & family history

· Communicate with patients via patient portal emails, telephone calls, and one-on-one

· Provide patient education, schedule appointments, answer questions and triage

· Document patients’ lab and other testing results

· Suture and staple removal

· Draw and prep sterile injections

· Use positivity and critical thinking to work through challenging situations quickly 

Requirements

Position Requirements and Preferences:

· Orthopedics experience required

· Current Medical Assistant Certification preferred

· Sports-medicine orthopedics experience preferred

· Must have a friendly and professional demeanor

· Excellent customer service and communication skills

· Must be comfortable with multi-tasking while paying attention to details

· Must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment

· Must be a self-motivated individual capable of working both in a team and independently

· Must have strong and reliable work ethic with impeccable punctuality and attendance
