We've found most business owners don’t realize how much of their profits are being eaten up by credit card processing fees each month. We knew we could structure better deals that help business owners keep more of their hard-earned money.

Job Overview:

As an Outside Sales Account Executive for Five Star Merchant Advocates (FSMA), you will be part of a team that is helping small business owners keep more of their hard earned revenue.

Small businesses pay credit card processing fees every month. With FSMA, we offer alternatives to save the business money month-over-month WITHOUT HAVING TO SWITCH PROVIDERS. This is a key sales differentiator.

Any new business or small business that is currently processing credit cards is a prospect.

We need your passion and sales expertise to help us build the FSMA brand in your geographic territory

Responsibilities:

  • Generate a list of prospective small businesses to bring onboard with FSMA. This will be a combination of both in person and over-the-phone prospecting.
  • Apply a consultative selling strategy to understand the needs of the customer and apply a proactive selling approach when scheduling on-going follow-ups with assigned customers.
  • Utilize the full company value propositions including selling tools, programs and fulfillment capabilities to bring the most effective solutions to their existing and prospective customers.
  • Partner with Sales Manager and Client Success Managers usher clients through the sales process including demos.
  • Partner with providers and operations team to ensure that expectations set during the sales process are met in delivery
  • Maintain accurate and up to date customer activities and opportunities in CRM (HubSpot)
  • Understand the competitive landscape and determine how to best position FSMA in the market

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a sourcing or closing sales role
  • Since this is a field position, you must have reliable transportation (will reimburse for mileage)
  • Strong communication, organizational and presentation skills with the ability to sell and negotiate at all decision-making levels
  • Proven track record of success in meeting and exceeding goals
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial and team environment
  • Self-motivated, creative, and flexible
  • General technical proficiency with software
  • Experience with HubSpot is a nice to have

This role qualifies for uncapped commissions. The starting salary will be determined based on skills, experience, and geographic location. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will have the opportunity to work remotely while managing your own schedule.
