Job Responsibilities

The Market President will lead all business efforts in the market, have direct responsibility of managing to an annual budget with the intent of growing EBITDA year-over-year, and managing Association/Property Manager team leaders including interaction with Board of Directors and the property owners they serve. The ideal candidate will work cross-functionally with FirstService Residential departments such as Marketing/Business Development, IT, HR, Legal and Finance to ensure the business is appropriately managed/supported/sized in these matrix organizations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

OPERATIONS

  • Provide overall executive leadership and strategic direction of the market. This includes
  • frequent interaction with association/property Managers, business leaders, existing clients,
  • prospective new clients, FirstService affiliates and FirstService Residential senior managers.
  • Responsible for annual business plan adherence - driving financial performance to achieve targeted performance margins as identified in business plan.
  • Maintain client retention goals as outlined in business plan.
  • Work collectively with regional leadership on strategies to coordinate best practices, implement new company procedures, policy changes, and improve business practices throughout the market.
  • Drive and support the launch of new clients into the company's operations both prior to effective date of new contract and up through an established onboarding process.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Proven experience with the business development of new clients, and proven success in the area of client relations and retention.
  • Lead new business development efforts across multiple company interests - drives and partners with business development, sales and marketing department leaders to meet projected growth targets in accordance with division business plan.
  • Oversee the utilization of proprietary CRM database in accordance with national standards.
  • Familiar with pipeline management, sales process, lead generation and marketing disciplines.
  • Ensure that our Company's ancillary services are being offered by the management team and Community Managers to their communities.

PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

  • Build and foster relationships internally and with key clients and vendors.
  • Collaborate across functional areas including: Accounting, Operations, Sales, Marketing and Human Resources
  • Able to effectively develop and retain high-performing team members
  • Builds succession plans for key positions in market and ensures ongoing development of leadership
  • Manages poor performance effectively and timely

Additional Duties & Responsibilities

  • Practice and adhere to FirstService Residential Global Service Standards.
  • Conduct business at all times with the highest standards of personal, professional and ethical conduct.
  • Perform or assist with any operations as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules. Notify supervision of unusual equipment or operating problems and the need for additional material and supplies.
  • May participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, policies, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensure all safety precautions are followed while performing the work.
  • Follow all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
  • Perform any range of special projects, tasks and other related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility

Manages Region Directors and VP level in market

Education & Experience

  • Four year college degree
  • 8-10 years of applicable experience in the field of executive level leadership of $10-$15M dollar operations

Knowledge, Skills & Proficiencies

  • Minimum of 10 years of successful corporate management and executive leadership experience.
  • Experience driving and supporting change management initiatives
  • Strong financial acumen and comfortable with detailed financial analyses.
  • Must have proven leadership experience and the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple or competing priorities
  • Demonstrate excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
  • Able to effectively manage resources to execute company and region initiatives
  • Works with co-workers, customers and others by sharing ideas in a constructive and collaborative manner.

Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.

Throughout New England area and occasional trips to Region Corporate Office and Company corporate office as needed for meetings
