FirstService Residential is Hiring a Communications Coordinator Near Tucson, AZ

Job Overview:

As the part-time Communication Coordinator, you will serve residents and guests by greeting, welcoming and directing them appropriately. You will answer the phone and respond to emails, answer questions, and provide administrative support by handling all calendar, class and event scheduling along with preparing the monthly newsletter.

Compensation: $16 per hour

FirstService Residential will compensate the successful candidate in accordance with the posted range. The salary or wage paid to the successful candidate will be commensurate with experience, education, and specific job responsibilities. For positions designated at a client's property, the salary or wage will also be premised upon the client's directive. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Welcome residents and guests in a warm and friendly manner, and answer questions
  • Answer and direct phone calls in a polite, friendly and professional manner
  • Maintain reception area and common areas in a clean, tidy manner
  • Maintain the Community calendar and sign-up Genius
  • Send out resident email blasts and communications including the monthly Community newsletter
  • Maintain the classified Community directory
  • Perform housekeeping duties
  • Make reservations for social/common rooms
  • Receive deliveries; sort and distribute mail and packages
  • Take inventory of supplies and restock as needed
  • Assist in organizing events and meetings and corresponding resident communication
  • Assist homeowners with general inquiries
  • Manage key distribution, keeping necessary parties informed and updating the log
  • Schedule move ins and outs
  • Provide general administrative support to GM, including writing newsletter, memos, notifications and prepping for meetings

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Friendly, outgoing and personable
  • Able to identify issues and resolve before problems arise
  • Able to work independently with little supervision
  • Superb judgment and decision-making skills
  • Able to prioritize and adjust to incoming demands
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Tremendous listener with the ability to diffuse tense situations
  • Proficient with MS Office suite

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or post-secondary education in business or office management is preferred
  • Experience in Microsoft Publisher required
  • Customer service experience required

Physical Requirements:

  • Work in a typical office environment, using a computer
  • Sit and/or stand for lengthy periods of time
  • Able to lift objects weighing up to 30 pounds

Work Hours: Flexible schedule offering approximately 15 hours per week
