POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking a Recruiter to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, stellar work ethic and a customer service mindset – actively engaging with and supporting managers in their quest to fill open positions with quality talent in a timely manner.

As a FirstCall Recruiter you will be creating the first impression of our company for our candidates and new hires. You will have the responsibility for sourcing, attracting, screening and hiring skilled technicians and support staff for our current brands in the southeast region of Virginia, North and South Carolina. You will be responsible for contributing to our ability to successfully attract strong talent, grow the talent pipeline and effectively onboard new hires. If this sounds like you, APPLY TODAY!

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with hiring managers at all levels within the organization to understand hiring needs and team dynamics
  • Screen, interview, and select top candidates for open positions
  • Serve as a company ambassador in the job marketplace by supporting and promoting the company's culture and brand while proactively attracting top talent through social media channels, job boards, trade schools and other schools, referrals, open houses, and attending local job fair events
  • Implement effective sourcing and talent acquisition strategies that attract qualified candidates
  • Create and maintain all job postings for the region internally and externally, accurately reflecting the culture of FirstCall Mechanical and our family of companies as we grow
  • Facilitate and administer the new hire on-boarding process
  • Track and report recruiting KPIs through our Applicant Tracking System
  • Conduct in-depth screens and assess potential candidates for level of interest, qualifications, and salary expectations
  • Network with potential candidates to build a pipeline of future talent
  • Work with HR and managers in developing and updating job descriptions and job specifications as needed
  • Monitor and apply recruiting best practices
  • Provide analytical and well documented recruiting reports
  • Act as a point of contact and build candidate relationships during the selection process

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

  • This position is part of the Central HR team and reports directly to the regional HR Generalist/BP
  • Dotted line responsibility and accountability to branch management in supporting all talent acquisition needs.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a recruiting role with heavy sourcing expectations
  • Experience with high volume recruiting, hiring and on-boarding in a blue collar environment, required
  • HVAC, construction or other mechanical services industry experience is peferred
  • Ability to manage and administer an ATS system, run reports and analyze data; prior ATS experience, required
  • Experience working within standard recruiting platforms such as LinkedIn, really, Zip Recruiter, etc., preferred
  • Track record in developing and executing successful talent acquisition strategies, including partnership development with talent sources such as schools, trade associations, and other organizations.
  • Solid experience with the MS 365 suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator, with solid presentation skills
  • Strong prioritization skills
