First Commercial Bank (USA) is the wholly owned subsidiary of First Commercial Bank in Taipei, one of the premier commercial banks in Taiwan. First Commercial Bank (USA) has 8 branches in California. We are currently looking for a Accounting Assistant.

SUMMARY

Under some supervision and following established policies and department procedures; complies with all regulations which apply within the scope of the position, including Bank Secrecy Act; responsible for accounts payable and related accounting including the following functional duties:

DUTIES

· Pay bank expenses and process routine bookkeeping; ensure invoices are properly approved according to the department procedures before payment is made.

· Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts; sort and file G/L tickets.

· Post G/L related entries to accounting records, handle routine transaction and prepare routine general ledger entries.

· Prepare and verify various standard accounting entries and reconcile repots, such as prepaid expense, fixed assets amortization, accrued expenses, loan loss provision, tax provision, and inter-office interest income/expense allocation.

· Reconcile correspondent bank account statement.

· Prepare monthly report, such as overhead expenses report, loan origination report, and business summary report.

· Prepare financial statement to comply with Part 363 annual reporting.

· Back up other account department staff and daily wire function as needed.

· Accept other duties including special projects as deemed necessary by the supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: College degree in accounting or business preferred but not required.

Experience: 1-2 years of general accounting experiences in accounts payable and general ledger reconciliation.CPA firm experience is preferred.

Skills/ Ability: PC proficient. Must be organized and detail oriented. Bilingual (English/Mandarin) is a plus.

Right to Correction

You have the right to request correction of inaccurate personal information maintained by us about you. You can exercise this right through a verified consumer request. about you since January 1, 2022, unless doing so proves impossible or would involve disproportionate effort. We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request. We will only use personal information provided in a verifiable consumer request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make the request.

If you submit a request that is not through one of these designated methods or is deficient in some manner unrelated to verification, we will either treat it as if it had been submitted in accordance with our designated methods or provide you with information on how to submit the request or remedy any deficiencies.

Once we receive your verifiable consumer request, we will confirm receipt of the request within 10 business days describing our verification process. We will respond to your request within 45 calendar days, if we are able to verify your identity.

If requests from you are manifestly unfounded or excessive in particular because of their repetitive character, we may either charge a reasonable fee or refuse to act on the request, notifying you of our reason for refusing to act. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will notify you of the reason for that determination and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.

Requests to Know or Delete for Child Under the Age of 13: We do not knowingly collect information of minors under the age of 13.

Using an Authorized Agent to Submit a Request

Only you, a person registered with the California Secretary of State, or a person you authorize to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable consumer request related to your personal information. If you use an authorized agent, you may provide a power of attorney executed pursuant to California Probate Code sections 4000 to 4465.
