 Sr Software Engineer

The Role

As a Principal Software Engineer, you will be writing code, providing technical mentoring, communicating guidance of applied techniques, and collaborating with different roles across the organization.

You’ll have the opportunity to craft and influence creative solutions that meet not only functional, but also performance, security, scalability and reliability requirements.

We will work together to build a spectacular application to ensure Fidelity Charitable's donors have a magical experience!

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

• Demonstrable experience working with microservices and/or service oriented architectures as well as technical leadership.
• Experience with, Docker
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or equivalent
• Love of programming with a foundation in Java and/or JavaScript
• The curiosity to ask questions and challenge assumptions through all phases of the software development lifecycle.
• Ability to produce and identify well-crafted code that is supported by extensive unit-tests.
• Experience building RESTful APIs with Spring, understanding of Object-Oriented design patterns, and ability to craft, read, and write SQL queries.
• Adept Knowledge of Java and Spring.
• A collaborative mentality that allows you to work with others to produce high-quality, code-reviewed software in a timely manner.
• Ability to work collaboratively and independently across the org.
• AWS experience

Fidelity's working model blends the best of working offsite with maximizing time together in person to meet associate and business needs. Currently, most hybrid roles require associates to work onsite all business days of one assigned week per four-week period (beginning in September 2024, the requirement will be two full assigned weeks).
