Manage NATO network interoperability and modernization project based in Norfolk, VA. Lead and direct 10 person team of Information Technology and Information Assurance professionals. Coordinate task development, management, and reporting. Position involves periodic travel to Europe.Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage activities over broad spectrum of IT- and IA-related duties and responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule new equipment implementation, validate design functionality, and transition new equipment to sustainment team
- Engage with COR and TPOC for full project scope coordination
- Lead Project Management Plan development and task scheduling
- Manage team’s daily tasks and financial tracking, execution, and reporting, and track agreements (MOU, MOA, 7600) between project and NATO and US government organizations
- Interact at Project Management level with US government Single Point of Contact
- Project out-year budget requirements
- Create and manage Work Breakdown Structures
- Ensure Contract Data Requirements Listing products quality and on-time delivery
- Manage site surveys and record and distribute results
- Attend management-level meetings and conferences
- Procure hardware/software to operationalize US gateway
- Manage standard operating procedures (SOP) creation for operation, maintenance, and sustainment of the US gateway
- Manage redundancy plan creation addressing connections, encryption, IP address table exchange for routing between OCONUS and CONUS gateways
- Document planned hardware and software and services
- Spearhead coordinating US IP address blocks and domain name system (DNS) naming schemes with NATO Communications and Information Agency
- Collect and ratify statements of compliance from applicable US organizations
- Provide standup capability to collect metrics at gateways and distribute metrics to proper oversight individuals
- Participate in customer business management reviews, focusing on contractual issues
- Ensure task order close-out is complete and deliverables are submitted
- Other task accomplishment-relevant duties as required
- Eight years project management experience
- Eight years experience as information technology or information assurance professional
- Four years experience leading 10 person multi-functional IT- or IA-focused teams
- US passport within 30-days of hiring date
- Exhibit contemporary managerial qualities:
- Effectively communicate in verbal and written formats
- Work unsupervised, independently or as part of a team
- Ability to work effectively with sponsors, customers, subordinates, users
- Multi-task among numerous projects
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications
- Graduate degree in business, management, engineering, IT- or IA-related discipline
- Project Management Professional certification
- Experience working in Coalition environments
- Experience working with NATO Communications and Information Agency (or predecessor organization, NC3A) projects
- Bachelors of Science (business, management, engineering, IT- or IA-related discipline)
- Experience in lieu of degree: additional four years project management experience
- Secret
