Come join us on our journey to serve our customers and be the leader in our industry! We are currently looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our team!

Reporting to the SVP, Human Resources, this position is responsible for serving as a subject matter expert on human resource policies, processes, and programs across the employee life cycle including onboarding, employee relations, performance management, talent management, career development, employee engagement and broader workforce retention and development. The role supports multiple lines of business providing consultation and functional support to business leaders and their management teams on people issues and strategies.

The role is engaged in the development of HR programs, workflows, tools, and resources with the goal of evolving and enhancing the employee experience across the company. A seasoned practitioner of HR, the Sr HRBP will be required to demonstrate strong consultation skills, peer leadership, the ability to lead by influence, and strong business/ financial acumen to drive the use of progressive HR programs that will align the delivery of HR programs/ services with business objectives and priorities and support the development of our people capability across the company.

What you will do for Fay:

  • Lead the development and execution of HR initiatives in the areas of talent management, performance management, employee relations, employee retention and talent development to support the achievement of business objectives
  • Engage in the development of HR programs, policies, and processes with the objective to evolve and enhance the employee experience across the company
  • Provide high-quality Human Resource consultation and support to the business leaders to drive people programs and initiatives
  • Consult with functional HR partners to meet defined deliverables in the areas of talent acquisition, compensation, learning, and talent development to enable an effective web of HR support
  • Proactively analyze talent opportunities, identify needs, and formulate recommendations. Solicit feedback from employees and leaders to help inform HR practices
  • Engage with the business to identify opportunities for maximizing organizational structure to optimize business performance. Execute staffing plans, resource transfers, and/or reduction in force as needed
  • Proactively consult with leaders on team structures, leading to improved engagement, greater efficiencies, and clear career paths within the organization
  • Ensure equitable and fair administration of compensation and pay programs. Support the development and implementation of new compensation plans and pay structures
  • Proactively identify opportunities with recommendations to increase performance, reduce cost, and positively impact metrics through analytical approaches, including the tracking of key data and analyzing trends (internal mobility, employee engagement, employee retention, etc.)
  • Consult on job development, by facilitating the creation of position descriptions and partnering with Compensation to ensure jobs are competitively priced for the market
  • Lead and/or participate on HR related projects and initiatives to include the development and introduction of programs at an enterprise level
  • Develop domain knowledge of Fay’s businesses to include an understanding of short-term goals and long-term strategies for the organization
  • Maintain broad influence through ongoing development of relationships across the organization
  • Ensure compliance with Fay’s policies, processes, and practices
  • Maintain a current working knowledge of federal, state, and local employment practices and labor laws. Role model ethical standards, professionalism, and code of conduct
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

What you will bring to Fay:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or a related field. MBA or Master's degree in Human Resources preferred
  • 10 years' directly related work experience in Human Resources including working in a business partner capacity providing direct support to business leadership
  • Direct experience supporting diverse business functions; mortgage/ financial services industry experience preferred
  • Strong project management skills with experience leading initiatives across a distributed organization structure
  • Strong technical skills and demonstrated experience with MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with ADP/ UKG HRIS platforms preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships across the organization to drive the required results
  • Demonstrated leadership with the ability to foster an environment of positive employee engagement and trust
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly establish credibility, coupled with the ability to recognize and support the organization's preferences and priorities
  • Client-focused with strong execution skills and a results orientation; able to link to business needs with tactical execution and results
  • High learning agility with the ability to learn and integrate multiple variables, make connections and identify/implement successful solutions
  • Consultative and collaborative work style
  • Strong analytical skills: solid decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgment
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to prioritize, organize time and resources to deliver consistent results and bring projects to successful completion
  • Self-directed; comfortable working with ambiguity and uncertainty
  • Ability to train, mentor, and provide guidance to junior team members
  • High degree of professional maturity, integrity, and ability to maintain confidential data and information
  • High degree of business acumen; strong fiscal and technical aptitude
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The role requires a general understanding of systems and their application to advance the efficiency of operation
