SharePoint Developer

Seeking a SharePoint Developer to support the Department of Labor Washington D.C.

Location: Once per month onsite for a teams meeting. This is a hybrid opportunity working from home and going onsite once per month for meetings.

Salary range of $95,000 to $110,000 is based on technical experience and technical interview.

Responsibilities:

Associated Veterans is seeking a SharePoint Developer, who can function in a highly collaborative, multi-contractor environment for a government agency. The candidate will be responsible for updating, transferring, and managing data on the site. The client should have the ability to communicate and explain details to multiple levels of individuals (Senior Executive, etc) in a non-technical manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Participate in regular client/team meetings and provide input on development or administration activities
• Provide technical analysis, recommendations and support to team-members
• Review preliminary end user, business requests, meeting notes, comments to identify and document necessary requirements to finalize the projects key deliverables
• Provide and document the capacity plan and determine project scopes, phases and finalize collaboration solutions, architecture plan
• Create and test workflows and search functions to enable productivity
• Implement custom solutions for SharePoint for workflows, web parts, application pages and related features
• Develop dashboards that pull information from other SharePoint sites and MS Access
• QA test new features, enhancements and bug fixes before they are pushed to production
• Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding SharePoint system configuration and operation (system diagrams, application topology, data flow, SOPs, business processes, etc.)
• Experience in SharePoint PowerShell modules to configure and administer SharePoint and automate tasks.
• Experience working on/with a team as a contributor to complete SharePoint tasks in line with organizational goals.
• Monitoring SharePoint trends (e.g. site usage and growth, disk space usage and growth).
• Participates in special projects as required.
• Develop, track and maintain SOP, archives, databases, for managing communications and office content through SharePoint
• Assist with transferring files from the shared drive data to SharePoint
• Explain technical information and train users using non-technical terms. Participate in discussions with stakeholders to develop appropriate workflows. Provide assistance to content management systems users regarding their roles, expectations, and objectives for managing intranet content

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Technology and/or related field
• 3 years working with SharePoint 2010/2013/2016
• Strong PC literacy and Microsoft office skills (including MS Access)
• Experience working with computer hardware, operating system software and desktop applications
• Experience managing SharePoint 2010/2013/2016 with Windows Load Balancing
• Knowledge of CSS and HTML
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to work with teams
• Strong customer service skills
• Possess extensive knowledge and experience with SharePoint application requirement analysis, design and content databases
• Experience developing workflow solutions to automate existing processes
• Experience integrating content with SharePoint and Microsoft office
• Strong communication skills and proven experience working within a team dynamic
• Flexible and able to thrive in a rapidly evolving environment
• Strong organizational and time management skills allowing you to meet strict deadlines

Preferred Skills:

• Experience or familiarity with working with the Federal Government.
