Our emphasis is on high-quality, scratch-made food using farm fresh ingredients and creating memorable experiences for our customers.

Marketplace General Manager / Partner

We are seeking a driven and energetic General Manager/Partner for our marketplace to lead the day-to-day operations of Fat Beet Farm’s food production and retail space. The General Manager/Partner will be responsible for oversight of three main areas of the marketplace: food preparation for private events and daily operations, bakery production, and retail management. The role requires strong leadership skills and adaptability, with an emphasis on the training and development of each area. We’re looking for someone who is self-driven and ambitious, with the ability to implement their management initiatives.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage high-level banquet cooking with precision and creativity
• Manage bakery operations with emphasis on artisanal breads and pastries
• Manage staffing responsibilities including the training and development of team members, and ensuring all team members follow outlined protocols and procedures
• Manage the kitchen’s operations including but not limited to equipment maintenance, scheduling, food rotation, par lists
• Management of the marketplace’s retail operations
• Manage Marketplace’s profit & loss, developing and maintaining budgets, and ensure healthy financial position

Requirements

• Proven experience in a management role within the hospitality or food industries (hospitality degrees preferred)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (ability to speak Spanish preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and problem-solving capabilities
• Ability to work hands-on and lead by example
• Working knowledge of Excel and point-of-sale systems (Toast experience preferred)
