    This position is contingent on the availability of specific funding and may be subject to non-renewal following the 2022-23 school year based on the unavailability or uncertainty of funding. Internal staff that apply and are appointed to Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER) funded positions will be returned to a position similar to the one they vacated at the end of the prior school or fiscal year. Internal staff that backfill for a staff member that applied for and were appointed to an ESSER funded position will be returned to a position similar to the one they vacated at the end of the prior school or fiscal year.
    Position Purpose
    This position plays a key role in the operational, technical, and strategic functions that drive our aggressive recruitment campaigns. In addition to using multiple technology platforms, the incumbent will be expected to travel to cultivate relationships with both in-state and out-of-state institutions of higher education for the purpose of networking, disseminating information, identifying potential candidates for a variety of position types, and sponsoring events. This position will be responsible for creating and executing recruitment strategies for a variety of different types of positions throughout the district and push those potential candidates to district recruitment pools with direct referrals to principals, directors, and supervisors.
    Responsibilities
    1. Talent Acquisition: Manages and collaborates with district and school building supervisors in the recruitment and selection process for Fargo Public Schools.
    Priority: Essential | Percent of Time: 90%
    Examples of this work include:
    • Builds applicant sources by researching and contacting out-of-state community services, higher education institutions, employment agencies, recruiters, media, internet sites, etc.
    • Conducts strategic marketing and communication outreach that will increase mass visibility such as developing social/print media campaigns, selecting appropriate school specific marketing materials, and/or modifying materials to match specific audiences.
    • Plans, implements, and attends a variety of recruitment events in identified locations throughout the region.
    • Creates and facilitates engaging multi-media presentations to a variety of audiences.
    • Builds awareness of the opportunities and benefits of teaching in the Fargo Public School District and living in the Fargo-Moorhead Metro.
    • Identifies, cultivates, and influences diverse top-talent leaders to apply to and join the District.
    • Builds and maintains relationships with community, higher education, and organization leaders both within state and out-of-state.
    • Tracks and evaluates the effectiveness of individual strategies, the overall recruitment campaign, and makes adjustments, as needed.
    • Responds to applicant inquiries; manages extensive internal and external communications.
    • Collects and analyzes data to make timely decisions, prioritize actions, and prepare reports.
    • Assists with the implementation of the Districts Recruitment Plan.
    • Determines qualified applicants by studying job descriptions and job qualifications.
    • Arrange for and travel to identified colleges and communities to recruit.
    • Advises search committees and hiring managers on recruitment and hiring practices to ensure consistent processes that value diversity, and result in successful and timely searches.
    • Generates EEO reports for vacancies to analyze the diversity of applicant pools.
    • Leads talent acquisition process improvements.
    2. Other Duties as assigned.

    • Complete research projects and reports as required assuring timely completion.
    • Assist with implementing changes to effect continuous improvement in services provided.
    • Attend workshops and professional development activities.
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
    Minimum Qualifications
    High School Diploma or GED.
    Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Professional work experience may be substituted for formal education.
    Two (2) years successful experience working for a university/college, Human Resources, and/or a recruiting firm.
    A valid driver’s license that allows the applicant/employee to legally operate a motor vehicle. License must be maintained for the duration of the assignment.
    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
    Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
    Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
    Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
    Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
    Preferred Qualifications
    SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
    SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential preferred.
    Successful experience recruiting.
    Knowledge of District structures, schools, and communities.
