Employment Specialist is responsible for supporting the hiring managers and or Recruiters in screening applicants, maintaining the HRIS applicant and requisition system, and administering the employment process from application through onboarding to the first date of employment. This position will help in all aspects of recruiting and onboarding new applicants. This position will also represent the agency at area university career fairs and assist with other recruiting needs. This position will also assist with special human resources projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Human Resources. 1-3 years related HR experience preferred. Must be self motivated with exceptional customer service skills. Must have strong time management and organizational skills, be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task. Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors and the public. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience working with an applicant tracking system preferred. Effective working in a team environment. Must possess a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record, and use personal automobile to travel to locations other than primary office.
