About the AR Specialist:
As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will play a vital role in managing the company's receivables and ensuring timely collections. You will be responsible for invoicing clients, reconciling accounts, and following up on overdue payments. The ideal candidate will have experience with accounting software and a strong understanding of accounts receivable processes.- Generate and send out invoices to clients accurately and timely.
- Follow up on outstanding receivables and communicate effectively with clients regarding payment inquiries.
- Reconcile accounts receivable ledger to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Process incoming payments and allocate them correctly against outstanding invoices.
- Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and initiate collection actions.
- Prepare aging reports and other financial reports related to accounts receivable.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve billing and payment issues.
- Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
Qualifications needed for the AR Specialist:
- Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable Clerk or similar role.
- Familiarity with accounting software; experience with Sage Intacct is a plus.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the construction industry or related field is advantageous.
- Ability to adapt to new systems and processes quickly.
