Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager with 8 years of experience in Information Technology, 3 years of experience in land development (3) years strictly working in Land Development local government departments utilizing systems as such Accela, EPermitHub, Selectron, Service Now, SeeClickFix, File360, and Document Management Servers a bachelor's degree or and a minimum three (3) years of experience managing IT technical projects in local government

The position will function as a Project Manager for several technical Accela Land Management system projects. The position will play an important role in the existing knowledge transfer of all Accela and integration products; as well as the continuous growth and success of supporting the department permitting system, processes, and implementations. Someone comfortable in fast-paced, multiple ongoing projects in an ever-changing environment. You will be an integral part of a cross-functional team, a must to provide existing knowledge transfer and lead the team in completing complex projects by a certain deadline. Documenting and identifying what needs to be accomplished and partnering with others in the organization to execute to a plan. To be successful in this role, you will leverage proven processes and templates to deliver projects.

Responsibilities

  • Meet with Project resources, including vendors and supervisors within two weeks of assigned Project(s).
  • The first draft of the Project Plan(s) due within four weeks includes a review with the Project team, Supervisors, and, Managers. The final draft of the Project Plan(s) is due within five weeks. Provide Project status updates within two weeks of the assignment and every week thereafter. Deliver assigned projects on schedule. If the project is in jeopardy of not meeting a deadline, inform stakeholders within 24 hours of determination. Ensure all developed requirements and changes are properly documented across all environments. Conduct Project close-out processes within one week of Project completion. Other Project deliverables will be discussed as needed. Create project plans, including setting targets for milestones and adhering to schedule deadlines.
Lead meetings for each project daily/weekly.
  • Meeting notes using our template will be sent out within 24 hours of each meeting. Timelines and deliverables will be met as indicated in the project plan. Roadblocks will be reported to the designated supervisor for each project within 24 hours of identification. Attend Change Management Board to represent project changes each Tuesday of every week. Update weekly project spreadsheet.
  • Develop requirements documents, project plans, and schedules. Work closely with supervisors for the allocation of resources. Coordinate with internal Client departments on communication with Client's staff. Collaborate and align efforts with departments both within and outside. Foster change acceptance and adoption among frontline employees with modern technologies. Develop change communications and training documents tailored to specific audiences, both internal and external. Monitor and communicate project progress and status to stakeholders every week.
  • Adhere to established change management processes. Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of assigned projects by offering suggestions or direction as a member of the team. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of eight (8) years in the Information Technology field. (3) years strictly working in Land Development local government departments utilizing systems as such Accela, EPermitHub, Selectron, Service Now, SeeClickFix, File360, and Document
  • Management Servers a bachelor's degree or a minimum of three (3) years of experience managing IT technical projects in local government. Ability to organize and lead highly technical focus groups composed of primarily Infrastructure, Network Systems, and Desktop services.
  • Demonstrates professional organization, documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with external stakeholders as well as internal staff.
  • Analytical problem-solving abilities, proactive/positive team player, resourceful, innovative.
  • Hands-on experience developing both technical and user-friendly communications.
  • Documenting technical requirements, creating project plans, and monitoring progress using Service-Now.
  • Proven multi-tasking skills, including the ability to work effectively under pressure, handle heavy volumes, and meet demanding deadlines.
  • Microsoft Products including MS Project, and Visio, ITIL Tools
  • Ability to work onsite

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English should demonstrate fluency in both oral and written communications.
  • At a minimum have fundamental knowledge of Infrastructure, Networks and
  • Radio/Microwave components, Active Directory, Windows, and Cloud Technologies.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience with leading Infrastructure, and network projects in local government.
  • Pass a stringent criminal background check (May take up to 8 weeks)
