The Safety Technician monitors the project site to ensure construction project safety. The Safety Technician is a salaried position at an industry-leading construction company.
Responsibilities:
- Analyzing the safety performance of work performed
- Understanding laws and regulations pertaining to OSHA
- Conducting job inspections of construction areas
- Identifying, documenting and recommending resolution of hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions
- Confirming corrections have been made to hazardous and potentially hazardous conditions
- Investigating property damage and personal injury accidents
- Assisting in conducting employee and insurance inspections
- Assisting in emergency rescues as required
- Assisting in maintaining fire protection and grounding systems
- Compiling data, photographs, pertinent forms and reports, as well as conducting employee interviews associated with accidents
- Conducting industrial hygiene samples to ensure safe working conditions
- Other duties as assigned
