Accounting Manager

Summary: The Accounting Manager reports to the Corporate Controller, assisting with overseeing the accounting department’s daily operations and development of processes that ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. The Accounting Manager will provide ongoing support to managers and their departments, internal and external auditors and government agencies.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manage and perform monthly close activities, including preparation of journal entries and general ledger account reconciliation to ensure financial records are complete and in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Assist in supervision of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions and develop related processes that ensure timely processing and reporting of payments and collections.
• Prepare periodic and as needed financial reporting.
• Support external tax and audit firms with timely responses to information requests.
• Maintain compliance with relevant regulatory requirements, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.
• Drive process improvements within the accounting function.
• Assist with or lead accounting software improvements and implementations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
• Proficency in accounting software and Microsoft excel.
• Excellent problem-solving ability with a high degree of attention to detail.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and internal controls.
• Consolidated reporting and multi-currency experience preferred.
