ExpressPros - Madison is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist Near Johnson, WI
We are now seeking an accounts payable specialist in Johnson Creek, Wisconsin! This role processes payments of invoices owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors and records short-term debts. The accounts payable specialist will also help support the finance and accounting team. Our ideal candidate will have accounts payable and payroll experience. Direct hire!
Pay: $23-30/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm
*could adapt the schedule to 8am-4:30pm if needed
Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain vendors or suppliers in the accounting systems
- Process, review, and pay invoices to be completed for payment
- Execute check or payment runs and reconcile balances
- Verify invoices against purchase orders before issuing payment
- Prepare journal entries and reconcile general ledger or bank accounts on a regular basis
- Assist in year-end or monthly/quarterly accounting procedures
Qualifications:
- Experience using Microsoft Dynamics
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or 2-4 years’ experience in accounting role
- Strong mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail
