Cath Lab Radiology Technologist Job Summary

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cath Lab Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a key member of our Catheterization Laboratory, you will play a crucial role in performing diagnostic imaging procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of conditions. Your expertise in utilizing advanced radiologic technology and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team will contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Cath Lab Technologist Duties and Responsibilities

• Conduct cardiac catheterizations, angiograms, and other cardiovascular imaging procedures.
• Operate and maintain fluoroscopy machines, digital imaging systems, and other specialized Cath Lab equipment.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, monitoring vital signs and administering medications as directed.
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records, procedure logs, and required paperwork.
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives, adhering to radiation safety and infection control standards.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, providing support in critical scenarios.
• Stay updated on advancements in cardiac imaging technology through ongoing education and training.

Cath Lab Technologist Requirements and Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited radiologic technology program
• Current state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Technologist
• Proficient in operating Cath Lab equipment and technology
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Team player with a positive attitude and commitment to patient-centered care.

Job Types: Full-time, Travel healthcare, Contract

Pay: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
