Job Summary
The Underwriting Services Team of Everest Insurance, a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd. is looking for a Shared Services Associate to join our team in our Warren NJ, Atlanta, Boston or Chicago office.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Support Business Processing Outsourcing (BPO) UW Services Lead with offshore vendor relationship to drive the progress of process improvements and strong working collaboration across UW Services.
  • Support with Project Management and Process Improvement initiatives, by tracking progress, ensuring follow-up for agreed action items and ensuring to escalate challenges pro-actively and transparently.
  • Help identify opportunities that increase Underwriting value & service, improve user-experience, and eliminate waste by looking at process holistically, prioritizing need and challenging the business to understand root drivers for actions.
  • Build relationships with vendor teams and ensure to support UW Services BPO lead with frequent, transparent communication.
  • Review process documentation, training materials and assist vendor with process changes.
  • Review vendor quality and production results for Everest business segments to ensure targets are consistently met; help identify trends and address areas of concern.
  • Compliance with ODEN state rules and regulations relative to cancellations and reinstatements.
  • Experience with and ability to analyze underwriting information including experience reports, final audits, loss control reports, financial reports, loss runs, MVRs, and FEINs.
  • Opportunity to meet with key stakeholders and members of Insurance Management team to discuss results, updates, and recommended actions.
  • Contribute to virtual team culture, driving sense of support and collaboration across the US Underwriting Services team.
  • Maintain all correspondence activity with internal and external customers.
Qualifications, Education & Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years insurance experience, directly supporting the Policy Life Cycle with demonstrated understanding of the end-to-end value chain.
  • Experience working with offshore vendor is a plus.
  • Experience with Projects Management or Quality Assurance is a plus.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft software (Excel (PIVOT Tables), Word, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience required.

  • Experience contributing to or leading Projects is a plus.
  • Self-starter that is energized by independent learning and research.
  • Proficient in MS Office, with exceptional skills in Microsoft Excel.
