We take pride in being known in the industry as nimble, entrepreneurial and responsive. We are currently seeking an experienced Group Shared Services Leader for our global Shared Service function. The candidate for this role has the opportunity to share their experience to establish a set of professional administrative capabilities to put into practice across the global enterprise. This position will be based in our Warren, NJ, our North America corporate headquarters and allows for a flexible working schedule. This role will report into the Group Chief Transformation and Shared Services Officer, who also heads Global Insurance Operations, and will have direct and matrixed oversight of various functional teams across Everest entities globally. Who you are You are an experienced leader with a demonstrated history of leading global administrative teams across multiple functions: real estate, facilities, health, safety, and security (GSOC), procurement, category management or vendor management. You think strategically and have built functional capabilities and the requisite roles, responsibilities and processes required for sustainability and growth. You are a skilled negotiator and a collaborative partner who can navigate through a global organization. You build high performing teams, promoting and developing others. You stay on the edge of emerging trends in your field by maintaining a professional network. What you’ll do You will establish a Professional Administrative function across the Group globally, fostering growth and maturity and enhancing current practices. You will create the vision and strategies to guide the professional administrative function in response to industry best practices and the company’s ever-changing needs. You will design, develop and implement global standards for these functions, driving results through methods that include competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends across all categories. Real Estate and Facilities: Create standards based on remote work experiences gathered during the pandemic and incorporating agile spaces into our portfolio strategy Partner with brokerage professionals to execute real estate leases (or other transactions) in alignment with future business needs and growth Be responsible for workplace-associated capital plan; approving leases, design & construction, and reconfiguration covering the global portfolio of offices Ensure that locations align with the Group’s ESG practices and efforts Maintain knowledge of current and emerging trends in commercial real estate, regulations, technologies, techniques and approaches in space planning and allocation Identify opportunities to create standard operating procedures across global portfolio which optimize operations, reduce costs, and insure a consistent delivery experience Strategically source workplace services and amenities for quality, cost, and effectiveness Health, Safety and Security (GSOC): Create a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) with staff on a corresponding operational shift to support the Group globally Procurement and Category Management Define service categories and create sourcing strategies in collaboration with internal business partners and suppliers to drive efficiencies, reduce risks, and costs Develop mechanisms and metrics to hold suppliers accountable for performance and delivery Drive results through methods that include competitive bidding, negotiating, and analyzing data and market trends across all categories Lead business reviews to discuss best practices and issues and to ultimately improve supplier performance and strengthen business partnerships Implement a procurement “light” module in the Oracle ERP system Vendor Management Build a vendor management function and enhance current processes by leading third-party sourcing efforts and effective supplier negotiation initiatives across the organization Implement and execute strategic vendor management objectives that support business goals, including, but not limited to, ensuring superior service quality, advancing category maturity, managing costs, and realizing value for the Group Partner in the establishment of a beneficial, holistic contract management process, clarifying roles and responsibilities, identifying, and mitigating risks, managing, and resolving vendor issues, and strengthening relations by leveraging vendor performance data across the organization Establish policies, standards, processes, and tools that facilitate vendor research, assessment, selection, planning, interactions, communications, and reporting Third Party Management Information Risk Management Partner with Information Technology on the management and execution of the Group’s Third-Party Risk Management activities at an enterprise level, including risk assessments, due diligence, and ongoing monitoring of third parties Create a robust risk methodology framework and a strong focus on Data Management control Qualifications: 10 years of leadership experience in administrative functions within the P&C or Financial Service industry Direct management experience on 2 or more functions and the proven ability to think strategically across many, if not all of the functions: real estate, facilities, health, safety and security (GSOC), procurement, category management, vendor management, and/or third-party management information risk management Proven track record of building out new functions on a global scale for an enterprise organization Experience with the preparation and implementation of short and long-term capital and operating budgets Demonstrated customer service qualities and cost management mindset Experience managing and mentoring a team of administrative professionals Contract negotiation skills and contract management experience Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Ability to communicate and report on market intelligence data, including commodity trends and labor indexes Bachelor's degree required.
