Eurofins / TestOil is Hiring a Help Desk Technician Near Strongsville, OH

Responsibilities:

  • Ticket Triage – This individual will be primarily responsible for gathering as much information as possible from the person who submits each IT request. They will serve as the liaison between the IT requester and the assignee. Once the ticket has all the pertinent information, the individual will determine if the ticket needs escalated and who the ticket gets assigned to.
  • Diagnosing and Repairing PCs – This individual will be primarily responsible for diagnosing day-to-day computer issues including repairing hardware issues or replacing a failed computer as quickly as possible
  • Imaging and deploying new PCs – This individual will be primarily responsible for setting up new PCs that are required by the organization.
  • General End-user-support – This individual will be primarily responsible for assisting all end-users with issues relating to (but not limited to): general operating system issues or questions, Outlook issues or questions, printer issues, and peripheral issues, assisting users with setting up equipment for presentations.
  • Maintaining IT inventory and asset management system – This individual will be primarily responsible for maintaining all IT Assets and maintaining the all storage organization equipment.
  • Maintain security protocols, updates and patches – This individual will be responsible for helping the team identify and provide resolutions to system peripheral and application updates and patches. Will be required to follow and identify systems, patches and processes that will maintain the security of all business systems they are responsible for.

Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

  • Experience with basic PC troubleshooting – including computer hardware, computer peripherals, office printers, and wireless technologies
  • Familiar with and experience with troubleshooting Windows operating systems
  • Familiar with and experience with troubleshooting Microsoft Office application issues
  • A basic level understanding of modern network architecture
  • Excellent communication skills, patience working with others, and is able to see all tasks through to completion with little or no supervision.
