TITLE: Intake Specialist 2nd Shift

SUPERVISOR: Laboratory Manager / Laboratory Supervisor

The primary function of the Sample Intake Technician is to enter incoming sample shipments into the LIMS database.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Open and prepare all oil sample shipments for the laboratory
• Enter all oil samples into the LIMS database
• Open, record, label, and properly store shipments of routine lab supplies.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Fully clean workstation and take out trash upon completion of daily responsibilities.
• Communicate to management any issues which prevent the efficient completion of any job requirements.

Required knowledge, skills & abilities:

Ability to follow detailed written procedures.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced environment while maintaining quality of work.
• Basic computer knowledge.

· Ability to manage, plan and prioritize multiple tasks in a flexible and responsive manner.

• Good verbal & written communication skills.

· Ability to be a team player and work with a variety of people, customers, subcontractors, vendors, etc.

· Positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Education & Experience:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Strong experience working within a data entry environment is required.
